The Riverbank Room
Ness Walk’s Riverbank Room provides bright and spacious conference facilities in Inverness’ city centre. It’s the ideal meeting space, training venue or function room for your next event. Illuminated with natural light, this fully accessible room can facilitate up to 120 delegates in a theatre-style layout, 100 delegates for a reception or banquet layout and 80 in a cabaret layout.
The Riverbank Room is the embodiment of style and oozes class. Fashioned in contemporary design, this striking room features a south-facing glass wall offering stunning views out to the River Ness. With bespoke carpeting and elegant overhanging statement lighting evoking intimacy and warmth, this unique space is complete with both character and grace.

Courtyard – Seamlessly flowing from the Riverbank Room, bring your event outdoors and into the elegant courtyard area. This bright and tranquil space with manicured shrub borders has comfortable garden furniture and offers views towards the river. Accommodating up to 30 guests seated, or receptions for larger numbers. In the evening, the space really comes alive with firepits to add to the ambience.
Veranda – Forming part of the historic Ness Walk building, the Victorian terrace overlooks the courtyard. Here, there is a sheltered and heated dining area, made cosy with sheepskin rugs. Perfect for drinks receptions or outdoor breakout space during a conference. This area can seat up to 20 guests.
Lawns – Our rolling lawns of lush grass down to the river are bordered by colourful flowers and surrounded by towering trees. A tranquil and spacious outdoor area, ideal for garden soirees. A haven of green space, right here in the city centre.

They can turn even the most ambitious ideas into a spectacular experience. Of course, they will be available throughout the planning and development process. Our Catering Offering
Ness Walk provides a variety of outstanding dining experiences for up to 80 attendees. We can either serve a plated two-course lunch on individual tables in our restaurant Torrish, or a working lunch on tables in the Riverbank Room itself. We can also cater to all dietary needs within your party. Simply discuss your requirements with the events team. Then we will create the perfect menu for your event.
Our events team would be delighted to provide a proposal for you for a sustainable meeting choice. Our team will curate locally sourced menus using seasonal ingredients – so you can be sure that your menu is celebrating our local area. We don’t use any single use plastics or takeaway containers within our conference spaces and we will provide plated catering options to reduce wastage.
