Introducing Safely Sound
As one of the leading luxury hotels in Scotland, and as part of our promise to reassure you of your safety when visiting Ness Walk, we have designed our ‘Safely Sound’ programme. This builds on our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Praised by guests we have had the pleasure of welcoming over the years!
So what does ‘Safely Sound’ mean for you? Our CEO Tony Story has provided a brief insight into what a holiday in Scotland’s Highlands will be like at Ness Walk. Below, we have created an overview of our new procedures. So you can sleep Safely Sound in the knowledge that we are there for you.

To ensure a swift check-in that reduces contact and touch points, check-in will be completed prior to arrival. You will receive an email from our partner, Chico, who will enable an online check-in for you. Please look out for it. You will also receive an email form our team with information relating to your stay and instructions on how to make dining reservations and book our leisure facilities. We are all in this together!
Upon your arrival at the hotel, our concierge, wearing appropriate PPE, will greet you with a warm socially distanced Highland welcome and provide you with your welcome pack. Complete with your hygienic room key, face-mask and helpful information for the time you are with us. Our concierge will also talk you through our hygiene procedures implemented to protect you, fellow guests and our team.
Our concierge will not handle any baggage unless required to aid in preventing touch points during your arrival. However, if you require assistance, all you need to do is remove your luggage from the boot of your car and we will transport it to your room on our disinfected luggage trolley.
Additionally, to increase safety travelling throughout the hotel, we have removed contact points en route to your room and between our public areas. All public doors will be readily open or open automatically for you.
Sealed Hotel Rooms
You can be assured that every measure has been taken to ensure the cleanliness of your room. Not only have we introduced complete room disinfecting measures, but we have some new gadgets too! Our UV black lights will check your room after cleaning to ensure no areas are missed. With touch point items disinfected using industry-leading cleaning products and procedures. We then spray your room for a maximum effort of hygiene. Finally, your room will be sealed, so you have the comfort of knowing that no-one has entered the room after it has been cleaned.
We have also removed certain gadgets and items, such as alarm clocks, to reduce touchpoints. However these can be requested, should you require them.
To maintain household integrity, we will be offering a “Housekeeping Light” service. This means that no one will enter your room for the duration of your stay. Any additional items can easily be requested from reception by telephone.
A traditional housekeeping service is still be available however for your safety we ask that you are not in the room whilst housekeeping are servicing. If you would prefer this traditional housekeeping service, all you need to do is let us know when you check-in.
Socially Distanced Dining & Public Areas
After a busy day of sight-seeing and exploring Loch Ness and our beautiful beaches and countryside, you can relax comfortably with our socially distanced dining. Here you can enjoy a drink or delicious meal in our new socially spaced dining areas. This includes our outdoor bar and eating areas where you can watch the sun set over the River Ness.
Following the Scottish Governments update to restrictions, the Highlands will become a Level 1 region on Saturday 5th June.
Resident guests and non-resident guests can enjoy both our indoor and outdoor dining experiences. Our indoor restaurant Torrish will be open serving Afternoon Tea from 2pm till 4.00pm and À La Carte Dinner from 5pm, with last bookings at 9.30pm and alcohol available. After the 11.00pm indoor curfew, we will still be able to offer room service so you can enjoy a nibble and a nightcap in your bedroom.
Our new outdoor dining experience, Bruach Bistro & Booze can be enjoyed from 5.00pm till 11.00pm Monday to Thursday and 12.30pm till 11.00pm Friday to Sunday. Here, you can enjoy a collection of dishes including freshly caught langoustines and steak frites. Plus, our extensive cocktail, wine and whisky list.
Seating must follow Scottish Government guidelines at the time of dining e.g. maximum of 8 individuals from 3 households indoors and a maximum of 12 individuals outdoors.

All you need to do is complete the steps on the email and you’re good to go! Should you have any questions, call reception from the phone in your room.
We also respectfully ask that you to call reception when departing your room to allow our housekeeping to have the longest time possible cleaning the room before the next guest we are due to welcome arrives.
