Before this, however, we thought it would be poignant to take a moment to reflect upon 2021. Another turbulent and challenging year, but one filled with outstanding achievements, cherished memories and boundless creativity from our wonderful team. Here are our Ness Walk highlights from 2021.
Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence
In November, we were named the Best Urban Hotel in the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2022. This award was a testament to the entire team, who have faced some of the toughest times the industry has experienced. Yet emerged stronger and continued to deliver exceptional Highland hospitality to our guests.
When asked about this momentous achievement, our CEO Tony Story said, ‘there are milestones in one’s career and this award, to be given in what is in effect the infancy of Ness Walk, pays a tremendous tribute to all of those who have been involved in the design, development, and operation in, what is undoubtedly becoming an icon in the Scottish hospitality’.
Bruach Wintertide
In October, our outdoor dining experience Bruach Bistro & Booze had an enchanting makeover and we launched Bruach Wintertide. In collaboration with local favourites Bubble & Goose and Highland Mixology, we offered the heavenly combination of delicious street food and quirky cocktails. All with some festive flavours and flair to celebrate the season. With hundreds of guests joining us, Wintertide was undoubtedly one of THE places to visit over the festive period and received national recognition for how incredible it looked. We can’t wait to share what we have in store next…
When the Astons came to town
Throughout the year, we were lucky to welcome some of the greatest cars ever built. From a collection of iconic Aston Martins to extremely rare Ford GT’s, Ness Walk has been a car lovers paradise on multiple occasions.
Even more awards!
2021 also saw individuals within Ness Walk recognised for their efforts to both the hospitality industry and to the local economy. In June, our CEO Tony Story was named Outstanding Business Leader at the Scottish Council for Development & Industry Awards. And in November, our Operations Director Craig Ewan was named Best Local Hero at the Highland & Islands Business Awards.
