A male and female ballet dancer perform an elegant lift during a production of Cinders. Captured with intentional motion blur, the image conveys sweeping movement as the ballerina's blue-and-white gown billows dramatically and the male dancer supports her with outstretched arms. Purple, pink and gold stage lighting creates a dreamy, magical atmosphere, emphasising the energy and romance of the performance.

The One-Night Cinders Ballet Escape

Designed for a truly special evening, our one-night break unfolds at an unhurried pace. Arrive as the winter light softens over the River Ness, settle into your room, and then take your table in Torrish. From here, our chefs craft an early-evening menu from the finest Scottish produce, with time built in to savour every course. And afterwards, Eden Court Theatre awaits along the river, so you’ll arrive at the theatre relaxed rather than rushed.

Then comes the loveliest part. Because once the final bows fade, there’s no taxi queue and no long drive home. Instead, you’ll wander back to five-star comfort, perhaps pausing for a nightcap, before sinking into bed. Finally, in the morning, a full Scottish breakfast completes the escape.

Your one-night escape includes:

  • Premium ticket to Cinders! at Eden Court (7:30pm)
  • An early-evening dinner in Torrish Restaurant
  • One night in a beautifully appointed room

Why let the magic end at midnight? Our two-night break stretches one glittering evening into a full Highland retreat. Because alongside your premium ticket, early-evening dinner and breakfasts, you’ll enjoy a Heavenly Afternoon Tea for two, served beside the fire with the gardens and the River Ness.

Moreover, the extra day is yours to spend beautifully, enjoying the magic of Inverness in January. So, you can wander in the city at its most atmospheric, or surrender to the luxurious rhythms of the hotel. All in all, the ballet becomes the centrepiece of a weekend rather than a dash to the theatre, which is precisely how an occasion like this should feel.

Your two-night escape includes:

  • Premium ticket to Cinders! at Eden Court (7:30pm)
  • An early-evening dinner in Torrish Restaurant
  • Heavenly Afternoon Tea for two
  • Two nights in a beautifully appointed room
  • A full Scottish breakfast each morning

About Cinders! by Scottish Ballet: A Dazzling Retelling

Scottish Ballet’s playful retelling of the Cinderella story returns to enchant audiences, and no two nights are the same. Set at the turn of the 20th century in Cinders’ family-run emporium, the tale sweeps from heartbreak to an enchanted rose garden, and onwards to the Royal Ball. Along the way, expect mischief, romance, and a happily ever after worth dressing up for.

Christopher Hampson CBE choreographs, Elin Steele dresses the stage in opulent costumes and sets, and the Scottish Ballet Orchestra performs Prokofiev’s irresistible score live. The critics fell for it, too. The Herald awarded five stars, while The Telegraph and The Guardian each gave four. So, this Cinderella ballet takes everything you love about the fairytale and makes it sparkle anew. And when it comes to runtime, the performance runs for approximately one hour and 30 minutes, including an interval.

Ness Walk: The Five-Star Setting for Scottish Ballet

Few hotels sit as gracefully close to the stage as Ness Walk Hotel. Resting on the banks of the River Ness, moments from Eden Court, we’re the natural home for ballet in Scotland’s Highland capital. What’s more, here, five-star service meets riverside calm. So, expect elegant rooms, fine dining at the celebrated Torrish Restaurant, and a garden setting that feels a world away from the everyday.

Everything also sits within easy reach. So, the evening flows effortlessly from aperitif to overture. Explore our accommodation to find your perfect room, or contact our team with any questions.
