Tomatin offers a variety of insightful Scotch distillery tours that take you on a journey into their unique legacy. What’s more, you can experience a tutored nosing and tasting of their diverse collection in the company of fellow whisky lovers.
Worldwide whisky brands
Tomatin Distillery was founded in 1897, although whisky has been made in this area since the 1500s. It started small, with only 2 stills, but expanded to 23 stills in the mid-20th century. Today, the distillery is owned by Japanese company Takara Shuzo Corp. and produces both single malt whisky and blended whisky. With a range of brands including Tomatin and Cù Bòcan single malts and The Antiquary and The Talisman blends.
Visitor Centre and Tours
The visitor centre is open 7 days a week. It has its own whisky bar and a retail store, where you can browse and purchase a wide selection of whiskies and gifts. There is also the opportunity to bottle fill your own bottle and take it home as a special keepsake.
Tours run daily, where you’ll learn how whisky is made at Tomatin. They include a journey through the history of the distillery and a tutored tasting of three different single malts.
