Nestled by the leafy banks of the River Ness in the heart of the historic and vibrant city of Inverness is our idyllic 5-star+ retreat Hotel, Ness Walk. We have 47 luxury bedrooms, event space and our outstanding Restaurant up to 80 diners. The hotel’s Restaurant is named Torrish after the beautiful salmon fly commonly used when fishing close by the in the River Ness. Torrish is set in the original drawing room with stunning views over the river. The Riverbank, our events space can accommodate up to 110 guests for a wedding or private function.

The successful Senior Sous Chef candidate must create and maintain a consistent 5-star dining experience with modern dishes using the Highlands’s finest produce.
The kitchen has a total team of 10 chefs and 5 kitchen porters.

About you….
• At least 2years as a Sous Chef with proven experience in a similar fast paced environment.
• The motivation and leadership skills to lead by example.
• A keen eye for detail to always ensure delivery of the standards and the highest level of food quality.
• A strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to direct, manage and develop their team.
• Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written – to always ensure clear communication.
• Administrative tasks, managerial leadership and supporting the team with hands on cooking.

Senior Sous Chef Key Accountabilities….
• To deliver the concept and values of the Kingsmills Group.
• Responsible for the overall compliance of Health & Safely and Food Safely.
• Effective management of the food margin within the targets set.
• Effectively co-ordinate, control and manage the team.

Salary – £36,000 – £40,000 per annum

Salary will depend on experience but is highly competitive.

Duties will include maintaining kitchen hygiene at all times, washing dishes and cutlery using the dishwasher, mopping floors, emptying bins, keeping still room area clean and tidy at all times, assisting with any other duties as directed by the Chef.
We are looking for people who are hard working, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team. Shifts will be discussed at interview but are normally around 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or split shifts ie 7am-11am, 6pm-10pm and working weekends.

– You’ll consistently ensure the highest standards of service, drinks preparation and bar organisation, always exceeding our guests’ expectations.
– You’ll bring a dynamic, warm and friendly service to our bars; from preparing wines and cocktails to pouring tea and coffee.
– You’ll be delivering efficient service of drinks, providing a warm and memorable experience for all our guests.
– Assist guests with sharing your knowledge of classic cocktails, wines and spirits.
– You’ll be meticulous in preparing drinks; accurately measuring, following recipes and making sure they’re presented immaculately.
– Maintaining a clean and well-organised bar area, including preparing fresh ingredients for service.
– You’ll bring your creativity and contribute to the development of new drinks and offerings .
– You’ll be proficiently up-selling and encouraging other team members to do the same at every opportunity, Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay 5 star in every way

We are looking for Room Attendants to join our Ness Walk Team. Ideally you will have housekeeping experience within a quality establishment, have excellent eye for detail, exceptional high standards and a ‘can do attitude’. If not, don’t worry, as we will nurture and develop your skills.
Our rooms at Ness Walk are of an exceptional standard therefore it is imperative that we recruit the right candidates to join our Team.

Hours of work – 8.30/09.00am-3/3.30pm 2-3 days per week . May be more hours available depending on levels of business, includes weekends.

This is a permanent role where full training can be provided so experience not essential. With regards to working hours we can be flexible. We are looking for team players but you must be able to work on your own initiative too once fully trained.

We are looking for an enthusiastic welcoming individual to join our Concierge Team .
We are looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach.
When Guests arrive at Ness Walk we require a Highland Welcome by our Concierge Team.
Whilst they are staying with us our Team are on hand to provide them with excellent, friendly and attentive service.
To be considered for the role as a Concierge, you must have previous experience of working within a relevant industry and have a passion for helping to organise trips, transfers and reservations.

You will be required to work 5 days from 7 which includes weekends. Shifts are 7am-3.30pm and 3pm-11.30pm (approximately) there are some middle shifts 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm depending on our levels of business.
